We hold ourselves to high standards of accuracy. When we get something wrong, we fix it and document the correction here. This page serves as a transparent, public record of material corrections to CS2Bet.io content.

Our Corrections Policy

CS2Bet.io categorises corrections into three levels:

  • Minor corrections: Typos, formatting issues and outdated statistics that do not change the meaning or conclusion of the content. These are applied directly without a public notice.
  • Material corrections: Factual errors, incorrect match results, wrong player/team attributions or misleading statistical claims. These are logged below with the date, original error and correction applied.
  • Retractions: Published when an article or claim is found to be fundamentally inaccurate or unsupported. The original content is preserved with a prominently displayed retraction notice at the top.

2026 Corrections Log

April 9, 2026 — Schema & Metadata

Issue: Betting provider reviews on the /cs2-betting/ page used Product schema, which misrepresented review content as commercial products. The datePublished field was also dynamically set to today's date on every page load, making pages appear artificially fresh to search engines.

Correction: Replaced Product schema with WebPage + ItemList + individual Review blocks following Schema.org guidelines. Fixed datePublished to use the actual page modification date from WordPress.

April 9, 2026 — SportsEvent Schema

Issue: SportsEvent schema on match and tournament pages listed CS2Bet's homepage URL as the event organizer, which incorrectly implied CS2Bet organized the tournaments.

Correction: Updated organizer URLs to point to the actual league or tournament organizer's page. Where no organizer data is available, the field is now omitted rather than defaulting to CS2Bet.

April 9, 2026 — Content Accuracy

Issue: The homepage FAQ stated that live scores update "every 60 seconds" while the live page stated "every 30 seconds." The actual update interval is 30 seconds.

Correction: Corrected all references across the site to consistently state "every 30 seconds," matching the actual data refresh interval.

April 9, 2026 — Publisher Logo

Issue: NewsArticle schema used an SVG file for the publisher logo, which is not accepted by Google's Rich Results validator.

Correction: Replaced with a PNG file including explicit width and height attributes as required by Google's structured data guidelines.

No material corrections were logged prior to the formal establishment of this corrections policy in April 2026. Going forward, all material corrections will be documented here in chronological order.
