Abdul ‘degster’ Gasanov is tired of the Vitality-fatigue takes. The pro player has publicly defended the French organisation’s current run, framing it as the first true dominant era of the CS2 generation — and arguing that fans hoping to see it end are missing the rarity of what’s actually happening.
The case for appreciation
‘People who want Vitality to lose don’t understand that such beautiful CS won’t be repeated anytime soon,’ degster said. ‘Yes, some are getting tired of it, but they are the first team to show real dominance in CS2. You just watch and admire it.’ He singled out the synergy and structure as among the cleanest the scene has produced in years.
The 2026 trophy haul
Vitality’s calendar speaks for itself: BLAST Rivals Spring 2026 over NAVI, IEM Krakow 2026, IEM Rio 2026 (with the back-to-back ESL Grand Slam record), and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026. The current roster — apEX, ZywOo, ropz, mezii, flameZ, with coach XTQZZZ — has set new playoff and grand-final streak records along the way.
The pressure inside the locker room
flameZ has been open about the schedule grind: ‘We want no debate — people should clearly say that the Vitality era was better.’ He admits the constant travel and short recovery windows are real. ZywOo, ever the modest one, joked he ‘robbed’ his teammates of a recent MVP. apEX was less subtle: ‘ZywOo showed he is the best player in the world at this event.’ degster’s framing is the broader argument — dominant eras are rare and worth recognising while they’re happening.
