karrigan leaves FaZe — joins Falcons, kyxsan benched

FaZe Clan · Team Falcons · April 20, 2026

The transfer the scene had been debating for weeks is now official on both ends. FaZe have confirmed karrigan’s departure after five years. Falcons have confirmed kyxsan’s benching. Karrigan heads to Falcons ahead of the IEM Cologne Major, reuniting with NiKo and coach zonic for the first time in over seven years.

Karrigan was not kicked. Twistzz confirmed the move was karrigan’s own decision. FaZe had just missed the Cologne Major for the first time in their Counter-Strike history, and karrigan had already told the media he was ready to step down. Falcons — already qualified, loaded with NiKo and m0NESY — were the obvious destination.

FALCONS ROSTER CHANGES

CS2Bet.io CS2 Analysis

Exciting on paper, risky in practice. karrigan steps into a roster with two of the biggest individual personalities in the game and nine days to prepare for BLAST Rivals. The Saudi ownership angle — visibility over patience — feels relevant here. Interesting from later in 2026 if things click. Avoid Falcons outrights at Cologne.

MOUZ overhaul — Brollan and Jimpphat benched, jL and xelex in

MOUZ · April 19, 2026

The second major shake-up of the week. MOUZ bench both Brollan and  Jimpphat, ending the core that carried them to at least a semifinal at 13 of 15 events in 2025. In come jL on a short-term loan from NAVI, and 17-year-old xelex from MOUZ NXT. xertioN steps up as IGL. The complication: Major roster rules mean jL misses Cologne while Brollan returns temporarily. Two rosters, three events, one uncomfortable transition.

CS2Bet.io CS2 Analysis

This is a full rebuild, not a patch job. Don’t read too much into MOUZ’s Cologne result — they’ll be running Brollan as a temporary returnee in a lame-duck setup. The real test starts at PGL Astana with jL. Jimpphat being available is the biggest free-agent story in the scene right now.

FalleN announces retirement — 247 days left on the clock

FURIA · April 17, 2026 · Farmasi Arena, Rio de Janeiro

This is not exactly transfer news, but the most impactful announcement of the week. FalleN stepped onto the IEM Rio stage and told the crowd he would retire at the end of 2026, with exactly 247 days remaining as a professional. He will continue with FURIA through the full 2026 season, including IEM Cologne Major and potentially PGL Singapore. molodoy was in tears. The arena followed. FalleN is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures all-time in the whole Counter-Strike world.

“It’s not only about winning. It’s about the journey. I’ve decided that at the end of the year, I’m going to do other things within CS with you all.”

— FalleN, on stage at Farmasi Arena, April 17, 2026

CS2Bet.io CS2 Analysis

FURIA remain tier-1 through 2026. If anything, the farewell tour adds motivation. Back them at BLAST Rivals and watch what FalleN does at his last Major. This is must-watch CS regardless of the result. But you have to be careful with the odds when playing FURIA this season. There might be a lot of ”fan money” coming for FalleN which pushes their CS2 odds down.

FaZe turn to neityu as stand-in — Twistzz handed the IGL role

FaZe Clan · April 2026 · Unconfirmed, per French insider neL

With karrigan out and BLAST Rivals starting April 29, FaZe have reportedly turned to neityu Aubry as a stand-in for the next few weeks. The 20-year-old Frenchman was benched by ENCE in March when the Finnish organisation pivoted to a homegrown roster, leaving him available at exactly the moment FaZe needed a warm body with tier-1 experience. He was a genuine contributor during ENCE’s title run at Elisa Masters Espoo — a run that stands as one of the better underdog stories of last year.

The bigger story is who leads. With no IGL in the building, Twistzz is reportedly picking up in-game leading duties for BLAST Rivals and IEM Atlanta. It is not yet clear whether that arrangement continues beyond these two events or whether FaZe are hunting a more permanent solution in parallel. The new head coach, enkay J — himself an ENCE import — is thought to be involved in shaping the direction, but FaZe have made no official announcement on any of this.

CS2bet.io CS2 Analysis

Twistzz as an IGL is uncharted and risky territory — he is one of the best pure riflers alive, and asking him to call mid-round while maintaining that level is a big ask. neityu showed promise at ENCE but this is a significant step up from what he’s done before. FaZe with this setup at BLAST Rivals is a genuine avoid on the betting markets. Whatever their next permanent solution is will tell us far more about the organisation’s ambitions than this stopgap arrangement.

CSDIILIT appear to have quietly disbanded — no official statement

CSDIILIT · Finnish tier-3 · Last match: April 13, 2026

There was no press release. No farewell post. No announcement of any kind. But on HLTV, the players are now listed under “ex-CSDIILIT,” the team’s page shows no active roster, and their last recorded match was played on March 19. All the signs point to one conclusion: the Finnish tier-3 side has quietly shut down.

For most of the scene, CSDIILIT will be an unfamiliar name. They peaked at 142nd in the global rankings in March 2026. Teams like CSDIILIT matter because they are the ladder — the environment where Finnish players with potential but without an established name can get competitive reps, build a profile, and prove they belong at the next level.

Perhaps most notably, CSDIILIT included allu — Aleksi Jalli, the veteran AWPer who once played for FaZe and NiP, ranked in the global top 20 during his prime, and has been grinding the domestic Finnish scene for years since stepping back from tier-1. He gave CSDIILIT a recognisable face and, presumably, a level of experience and mentorship that younger players on the roster could benefit from. That window is now closed. allu, now 33, is listed on HLTV as a member of JANO.

It is a small story in the grand scheme of the CS2 calendar. But in a week where all the headlines belong to the biggest names and the biggest organisations, it’s worth noting that somewhere in the Finnish scene, a team that provided a platform for the next generation just went dark without so much as a goodbye.

CS2bet.io CS2 Analysis

No betting angle here, but worth acknowledging. Maybe look at where the best players from the team are going next. Also ENCE is in rebuild mode. Domestic third-tier teams like CSDIILIT are the foundation of any healthy national scene. Finland has historically punched above its weight in CS — allu, Aleksib, sergej, jamppi, all came through that ecosystem. When those lower rungs disappear quietly, no one notices until the talent pipeline dries up years later.
