What is CS Rating in CS2?
CS Rating is the numeric ladder system used in CS2 Premier matchmaking. Every player starts at a calibration rating after 10 placement matches. Wins earn points; losses subtract them. The point swing scales with the rating difference between teams: beating a higher-rated team is worth more, losing to a lower-rated team costs more. The visible scoreboard tier (Bronze through Global Elite) is a label slapped on top of the underlying numeric rating.
What are the CS2 rank tiers?
From bottom to top: Bronze, Silver, Gold Nova, Master Guardian, Distinguished Master Guardian, Legendary Eagle, Supreme Master First Class, Global Elite. The legacy "skill group" badges (used in CS:GO) still appear in casual modes, but Premier mode is the canonical competitive ladder.
How do you rank up fast in CS2?
Win streaks above your current rating yield the largest jumps. Beating teams 200-500 points above you can earn 100-200 rating points per match; routine wins against equal-rated teams typically earn 30-80. Calibration matches after the placement period are weighted higher, so playing your best 10 matches in a row at calibration gives the steepest possible curve.
