What is CS2 Premier in CS2?
Premier replaced CS:GO's Competitive ranks (Silver through Global Elite) with a continuous rating number. New players start unrated and play 10 placement matches to get an initial rating; wins and losses then adjust the rating using a Glicko-inspired system that accounts for opponent strength. Top players push ratings above 25,000; elite Premier players sit 28,000+. Unlike CS:GO's fixed tiers, Premier's rating decays if you don't play, which keeps the ladder honest. The mode uses the active duty map pool and includes the pick/ban phase at the start of each match.
