How is ADR calculated in CS2?

Does ADR matter more than kills?
For evaluating consistent contribution, yes. Kill counts are spiky — a player can frag heavily one map and disappear the next. ADR smooths out the variance because it captures damage across every round, including rounds the player didn't close out the kill. Pro analysts weight ADR alongside KAST and HLTV rating rather than raw kills.
