1. Our Editorial Mission
CS2Bet.io exists to give CS2 fans and bettors the most accurate, data-driven esports information available. We combine real-time match data from licensed providers with original editorial analysis to create content that is genuinely useful — whether you are tracking your favourite team, researching a bet or following the competitive scene.
Every editorial decision is guided by a single question: does this serve the reader? We prioritise accuracy and depth over speed, and we never publish content solely to fill a publishing calendar.
2. Content Types and Standards
2.1 Data-Driven Pages (Teams, Players, Tournaments, Matches)
These pages are generated programmatically from our database, which syncs with PandaScore — a licensed esports data provider — multiple times daily. The data undergoes automated validation (type checks, range checks, cross-referencing between endpoints) before being displayed. Programmatic content includes dynamic narratives that contextualise raw statistics in natural language. Each page is unique: text patterns are varied using entity-specific seeds so that no two team or player pages read identically.
2.2 News Articles
News articles are written by named editorial staff. Each article must:
- Cite at least one verifiable source (official team announcement, tournament organiser statement, or confirmed report from a recognised outlet such as HLTV, Liquipedia or Dust2.us).
- Clearly attribute rumours or unconfirmed reports as such, using language like "according to reports" or "sources indicate".
- Be reviewed by a second editor before publication when covering sensitive topics (roster changes, match-fixing allegations, organisational disputes).
- Include a visible author byline linking to the author's profile page.
2.3 Match Predictions
Predictions are generated by our machine learning pipeline and reviewed by our data science team. Every prediction page includes:
- A confidence percentage with the underlying model's reasoning.
- Head-to-head historical data and recent form analysis.
- Map pool comparisons with win rates.
- A clear disclaimer that predictions are probabilistic assessments, not guarantees.
Our prediction accuracy is publicly tracked and displayed on the predictions hub. We do not retroactively edit or remove incorrect predictions.
2.4 Betting Guides and Reviews
Betting content follows additional standards — see Section 5 (Affiliate Disclosure) and Section 6 (Responsible Gambling).
3. Fact-Checking Process
Our fact-checking operates at three levels:
- Automated data validation: Incoming API data is checked for completeness, type correctness and plausible ranges before being stored. Anomalous values (e.g., a player rating above 3.0 or a negative kill count) are flagged and quarantined.
- Editorial review: Human-written content is fact-checked against primary sources before publication. Statistics cited in articles are verified against our own database and, where available, cross-referenced with HLTV or Liquipedia.
- Community feedback: We monitor reader reports via our contact page. Verified corrections are implemented promptly and logged on our corrections page.
4. Author Qualifications
Every credited author on CS2Bet.io has demonstrable expertise in CS2 esports, data analysis or sports betting:
- CS2 Analysts have a minimum of two years following professional Counter-Strike and demonstrable knowledge of team dynamics, map meta and player roles.
- Data Scientists hold relevant qualifications in statistics, machine learning or computer science and are responsible for our prediction models.
- Editors have professional editorial experience and are responsible for content quality, fact-checking and publication standards.
All authors have public profile pages listing their credentials, areas of expertise and published articles. Visit our About page to meet the team.
5. Affiliate Disclosure
CS2Bet.io earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with licensed betting operators. When you click a link to a sportsbook and create an account or place a bet, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
This commercial relationship does not influence our editorial content. Specifically:
- Betting site reviews and ratings are based on objective criteria (odds quality, market range, user experience, licensing, withdrawal speed) — not commission rates.
- Match predictions are generated by our ML pipeline and are completely independent of any betting operator.
- We will recommend against a partner operator if our assessment warrants it.
- All pages containing affiliate links display a clear disclosure notice.
For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure page.
6. Responsible Gambling
CS2Bet.io is an information and analytics platform — we are not a gambling operator and do not accept or process bets. All betting-related content is intended for users aged 18+ (or the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction).
We are committed to promoting responsible gambling:
- All betting content includes responsible gambling messaging.
- We provide links to support organisations including BeGambleAware, GamblingTherapy and GamCare.
- We never use language that trivialises gambling risk or promises guaranteed returns.
- We never target content at minors.
7. Corrections and Updates
We take accuracy seriously. When we get something wrong, we fix it transparently:
- Minor corrections (typos, formatting, outdated stats) are applied directly and do not require a public notice.
- Material corrections (factual errors, incorrect match results, wrong attribution) are logged on our corrections page with the date, original error and correction applied.
- Retractions are issued in full if an article is found to contain fundamentally inaccurate claims. The original article is preserved with a prominently displayed retraction notice.
To report an error, please use our contact page or email corrections@cs2bet.io.
8. Editorial Independence
Our editorial team operates independently from our commercial partnerships. No advertiser, sponsor or affiliate partner has:
- Pre-publication review or approval rights over editorial content.
- The ability to influence match predictions or team/player ratings.
- Input into which news stories we cover or how we cover them.
Any sponsored or paid content is clearly labelled as such with a "Sponsored" or "Partner Content" tag. At the time of writing, CS2Bet.io does not publish sponsored editorial content.
9. Data Sources
Our platform relies on the following data sources:
- PandaScore API: Licensed esports data provider delivering real-time match scores, player statistics, team rosters, tournament brackets and historical results. Data syncs multiple times daily with a 30-second refresh rate during live matches.
- Official team and tournament announcements: Roster changes, tournament formats and prize pools are verified against official sources.
- Betting odds providers: Real-time odds are sourced directly from licensed sportsbook APIs.
- Our own analytics: Prediction models, form calculations, map pool analysis and career statistics are computed internally from the raw data above.
