Bruno “latto” Rebelatto delivered the two moments that decided Legacy’s BLAST Open Porto 2026 opener, closing Ancient with a clutch 1v2 before wiping out FUT’s entire match-point attack on Dust2 to seal a 2-0 win. Legacy took the series 13-10 and 13-11, surviving a serious comeback scare on the second map to move within one win of the Porto playoffs.
A closer series than the scoreline suggests
Ancient was tight throughout, with Santino “try” Rigal carrying much of Legacy’s offense (26 kills, 1.60 rating), while latto’s biggest contribution came at the very end — converting a 1v2 to shut down FUT’s last chance to extend the map. Dust2 initially looked comfortable after Legacy raced to an 8-1 lead, but FUT clawed all the way back to tie it 11-11, turning what looked like a routine 2-0 into a map that suddenly needed overtime. On match point for Legacy, FUT committed to the B site — and latto held his ground and eliminated all five, closing the map and the series with a final-round ace.
latto’s series went well beyond the highlight
Across the two maps, latto finished with 37 kills, 23 deaths, a 1.22 HLTV Rating 3.0, 76.6 ADR and a 78.7% KAST, leading Legacy on Dust2 alone with 21 kills and a 1.33 rating. try remained the series’ overall statistical leader at 42 kills and a 1.31 rating, meaning Legacy didn’t need one player to dominate both maps — try created the Ancient advantage, and latto took over as Dust2 reached its most dangerous stretch.
Part of a genuine run of form
The win extends an increasingly serious stretch for Legacy. Before Porto, the majority-Brazilian side finished third at the Esports World Cup, beating NAVI and Falcons before losing to Spirit in the semi-final and then defeating FURIA in the third-place match. That gives Legacy wins over NAVI, Falcons, FURIA and now FUT across their last five series, with Spirit their only defeat in that stretch — a notably stronger recent record than their current No. 7 HLTV ranking, one spot behind FUT at No. 6, would suggest on its own.
A reversal of their most recent meeting
FUT had actually beaten Legacy 2-0 at IEM Kraków in January, but that result carries limited weight now: Legacy have since swapped lux and saadzin for arT and try, while FUT have replaced launX with xfl0ud. With both lineups different from their January meeting, the Porto result is a more useful marker of Legacy’s current level than a rematch narrative.
What comes next
Legacy face the winner of Falcons vs Lynn Vision for a direct playoff spot, while FUT drop into a must-win match against the loser of that same series. The clearest warning sign from the win itself was Dust2’s 8-1-to-11-11 collapse — a stronger opponent than FUT might have punished that opening more severely. But Legacy didn’t lose control when the map got uncomfortable, and for a team coming off a third-place EWC finish, one more win in Copenhagen locks in a place on the Porto stage.
