Spirit are through to the PGL Astana 2026 grand final after a brutal 2-0 demolition of MOUZ in the semi-final. The series conceded only five rounds across two maps — 13-3 on Dust2, 13-2 on Nuke — and never touched the Mirage decider. donk and sh1ro were untouchable; the structural advantage Spirit have over MOUZ this season is now three Tier-1 series in a row.
Dust2 set the pattern
Spirit opened CT-side and shut down nearly every MOUZ attempt, racing to 9-3 at half. Post-switch the closeout was immediate — 13-3 to complete the first map. MOUZ’s offensive structure had no answer to the Spirit’s positioning and rotation discipline.
Nuke was worse
10-2 first half for Spirit. A torzsi clutch briefly slowed the bleed, but Spirit closed Nuke 13-2 to wrap up the series. xertioN had been the story of MOUZ’s run — 1.78 in the Aurora quarter-final — but Spirit’s structural pressure stopped his impact from translating.
The 2026 pattern
Spirit have now eliminated MOUZ at IEM Rio, IEM Kraków, and now PGL Astana — three convincing 2-0 wins. The grand final against Falcons is next, Bo5, with the $1.6M prize pool on the line. Spirit enter as favourites on the back of this performance — but the donk-sh1ro top end vs the Kyousuke-m0NESY-NiKo Falcons trio is the headliner CS2 has wanted all year.
