What is an HE grenade in CS2?
HE grenades are the most damage-per-dollar option in a utility loadout. A direct hit deals up to 98 damage, enough to kill an unarmored defender. On T-side executes, HEs are thrown at known stack positions right before pushing to reduce defender HP to one-shot levels. On CT-side, HEs are used to retake anchors defensively. Teams that track HE damage per round often find it's a hidden driver of opening-duel win rates — 60 HE damage on an entry-hold before contact gives your rifle a much bigger edge.
