MOUZ have pulled off one of 2026’s most controversial roster shakeups, bringing back Justinas “jL” Lekavicius on loan while promoting academy talent Adrian “xelex” Vincze to the main squad. The changes have divided analysts on whether this high-stakes gamble can restore the German organisation to championship form.
Major Lineup Restructure
The overhaul sees Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin and Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo moved to the bench, with Dorian “xertioN” Berman stepping up as the new in-game leader. Head coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen acknowledged the harsh reality of professional Counter-Strike in his statement about the decisions.
“This decision is not fair to him on a personal level. But leadership sometimes means accepting that fairness and necessity are not always the same thing,” Nielsen explained.
The organisation has backed xelex as their breakout prospect, describing him as a “highly talented and hungry player” prepared for top-tier competition.
jL’s Anticipated Comeback
The Lithuanian star’s return represents a significant moment after his 2025 departure from Natus Vincere. His reasoning at the time was refreshingly honest: “I just wanted to live a little.”
Earlier predictions about his return proved accurate, with jL previously stating: “I should theoretically be back [to playing] in the summer if everything works out.”
His track record includes Major MVP honours, but questions remain about how his playstyle meshes with MOUZ’s tactical approach after an extended absence.
Tactical Headaches Ahead
HLTV’s analysis highlighted a critical weakness in the new setup: the absence of natural CT-side anchors. With xelex, jL, and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi all favouring aggressive positions, the team may struggle with defensive stability.
The roster faces multiple adaptation challenges. XertioN must prove himself as a full-time caller while xelex adjusts to tier-one pressure. Meanwhile, jL needs to rediscover his peak form, and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás requires a return to consistency.
Upcoming tournaments including PGL Astana and the CS Asia Championships will provide early indicators of whether this aggressive approach can succeed. However, Major roster regulations mean jL won’t feature at IEM Cologne, where Brollan temporarily returns, creating an unusual split-lineup scenario across different events.
