Valve has dropped the IEM Cologne 2026 Major stickers — and torn up the Major-economy rulebook in the process. For the first time in CS2 Major history, the traditional capsule format is gone. Players can now buy individual stickers directly through a new token-based storefront — exact player autographs, team logos, sticker finishes, no luck-based openings.
The new pricing structure
Dynamic tiers based on rarity and finish. Regular stickers stay cheap. Holographic and gold variants cost significantly more. The design intent: more buyer control, premium variant value preserved.
Souvenir-O-Matic
Random Souvenir package drops have been replaced with a customizable redemption system. Fans can now choose specific matches and map collections when claiming Souvenir rewards — a transparency boost vs the previous luck-driven model. The long-running Souvenir collectibles market was due for modernisation; this is the modernisation.
The Cologne return
IEM Cologne 2026 is the first Valve-sponsored Major returning to Cologne since 2016 — one of CS’s most iconic venues. 32 teams across four stages, June 2-21. Vitality, NAVI, Spirit, Falcons, and MOUZ all confirmed in the field. Sticker revenue has become one of the largest income streams for organisations and players — the overhaul lands at a moment when esports financial sustainability is the wider conversation. Community early reaction: cleaner sticker visuals praised; removed capsules generating both relief and debate about long-term market impact.
