Map pool· Active duty map pool

The active duty pool is the set of 7 maps currently used in Tier-1 tournament play. Valve updates it periodically (roughly every 6–12 months) by rotating maps in and out.

What is the active CS2 map pool?

The active duty pool is the canonical Valve-selected set of maps used in tournament CS2. At any given time, 7 of the 9+ playable maps are "active" (playable at Tier-1 events) and the remaining sit in reserve. The current rotation usually includes some mix of Mirage, Inferno, Dust2, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Train, Overpass and Vertigo. Pool changes matter enormously — a team whose map pool overlapped an outgoing map loses ~14% of their practice time overnight, and teams that spent the previous cycle mastering a newly-added map vault up the rankings. Our maps hub tracks the current pool.
