Player statistics

KAST· Kill, Assist, Survive or Trade

KAST is the percentage of rounds in which a player got a Kill, Assist, Survived, or was Traded. Above 70% is consistent pro performance; 74%+ is elite.

What is KAST in CS2?

KAST captures whether a player contributed positively to a round in any of four ways: scoring a kill, assisting a teammate's kill, surviving to the end of the round, or being traded quickly after dying. The metric treats all four as equally valuable round-level contributions. Because it's a percentage rather than a count, KAST is immune to map-length inflation — a player with 74% KAST on a 16-round map contributed in the same proportion of rounds as on a 26-round map. High-KAST players are typically positioned well, trade efficiently and avoid dying uselessly; low-KAST players either feed without impact or play too passively to generate contributions. Pair KAST with ADR to see both consistency and raw output.
