What is the loss bonus in CS2?
CS2's loss bonus ladder prevents one-sided halves by compounding consolation income on consecutive losses. The schedule is: 1st loss $1,400, 2nd loss $1,900, 3rd loss $2,400, 4th loss $2,900, 5+ loss $3,400. When the team wins a round, the counter resets to the first tier — so a single win mid-losing-streak costs the team $2,000+ in next-round consolation. This creates the classic "save a round to keep the bonus" decision: if a team is behind 9-4 and the round is mathematically lost, saving weapons protects both equipment and the next loss-bonus tier.
