What is the closing line in CS2 betting?
The sharpest bookmakers' closing lines are the best proxy for the "true" probability of an outcome. A bettor who consistently gets closer to the true price before the market does — buying a 2.10 that later closes at 1.95 — has edge, even if the bet itself loses. Professional bettors grade themselves on Closing Line Value (CLV), not individual bet outcomes. CLV is measured as the percentage improvement over closing; +3% CLV over a large sample is considered strong. Bookmakers limit bettors who consistently post positive CLV because those bettors signal sharper information than the book's model.
